60 is the new 30
/60 is the new 30
Anyone else noticing this? Up until about a year ago, Net 30 on the invoice date was pretty much the standard way of getting paid. A week or two late was not uncommon and nothing to worry about but it seems these days, you can pretty much count of getting paid anywhere from 6-8 weeks after the job. Sometimes more. I can handle 60 but 90 is pushing it. I hope that when this economy recovers, producers will feel more inclined to pay independent contractors in a timely fashion. We're not the bank after all.
Just my 2 cents.
